Sunergy®Low-E Glass

Energy efficient glass with durable hard coat low-E glass

Overview

Sunergy® is a toned energy efficient low-E coated glass. The coating provides improved solar control (lower SHGC factor) and thermal insulation (lower U-Values). Compared to other low-E coated glass products, Sunergy® is an excellent response to current architectural trends favouring neutrality and low visual reflectance. Available in single, laminated and insulated glass unit (IGU) form.

  • Reduces summer heat gain and winter heat loss when compared to ordinary clear glass;
  • Depending on climate region and energy requirements, offers a broad range of solar and thermal control;
  • Available as a Grade A safety toughened or laminated glass

Residential and commercial glazing

  • Sunergy® series is broadly available in two ranges;
  • High visible light transmission (VLT%) with mid SHGC performance - using Neutral colour tone glass option in an IGU provides VLT% around 60% and SHGC 0.50-0.47.
  • Mid to lower VLT% with low SHGC – using Grey and Green tones in an IGU with VLT% between 50-23% and SHGC 0.32-0.28.
  • Glass thickness range 4/5/6/8/10mm in single monolithic form and 6.38-13.52mm single laminated. Other thicknesses and sizes on application.

When compared to ordinary non coated clear glass, Low-E glass can introduce some added complexities in relation to selection of glass types, manufacture and installation. For more information (Download)
