Features & Benefits
- Providing exceptional solar and thermal control with less sacrifice of natural daylight transmission;
- Reduces summer heat gain and winter heat loss when compared to ordinary clear glass;
- Depending on climate region and energy requirements, offers a broad range of solar and thermal control.
Applications
Residential and commercial glazing
Range
- SOL-XT™ series is broadly available in two ranges;
- High visible light transmission (VLT%) with mid to high SHGC performance - using Light and Neutral colour tone glass option in an IGU provides VLT% between 65-58% and SHGC 0.44-0.34 respectively;
- Mid to lower VLT% with low SHGC – using Grey, Green and Blue tones in an IGU with VLT% between 45-23% and SHGC 0.28-0.20.
- Glass thickness range 8.76mm to 13.52mm single laminated and IGU. Other thicknesses and sizes on application.
Design & Glazing Notes
When compared to ordinary non coated clear glass, Low-E glass can introduce some added complexities in relation to selection of glass types, manufacture and installation. For more information (Download)
